Forum Marketing That Works!

Previously, we discussed how you can use your site statistics package to find keywords you already rank for. We instructed you on how to filter these to cherry pick keywords that get low to decent traffic from search engines.

Find how much competition you are up against

The next step is to find the competition levels of those keywords. You could usually do this by running the keywords through Google search which then lists the number of competing pages for that keyword term. This may be quite labor intensive, but it is well worth it.

Focus on low competition keywords with traffic

At this stage of the game, you should list the keywords, the search volume for them and the number of competing pages. You can now identify decent traffic keywords that have low to no competition. There is no such thing as keywords with absolutely zero competition, but relatively low numbers pretty much give you an advantage so you can count them as almost no competition.
